  1. How about a departure from Brighton area / Bluebell Rlwy/Portsmouth in the agenda to cater for Southern steam in this well-populated area? Many thanks

  2. Hi Mitchell we’d love to – but unfortunately it is operationally difficult in these areas. We often run trips from Horsham and Sussex so keep an eye out for those!

  3. Even prior to the May 2018 timetable change, the Brighton Main Line (BML) was running over capacity at peak times. I suspect pathing charters along the BML all the way to/from Brighton on a weekday is now impossible, even with the reduced timetable due to the issues caused by the new timetable.

It will certainly be interesting to see the timings for the next few trips that take in parts of the Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) network for the pickup stations, in terms of how much flexibility there is. I do find myself wondering if the season ending White Cliffs circular may eventually have to be replaced with another itinerary due to the issues around the GTR network The big unknown of course is what will happen on Sunday 9th December when the next timetable change is due to happen.
