Steam Dreams, operators of The Cathedrals Express steam train, have planned an exciting evening tour from London Victoria to Windsor, celebrating the best of vintage travel and English heritage.
On Valentine’s Day – Wednesday 14 February, The Cathedrals Express will be visiting Windsor, where you can join from London Victoria (depart 1715, return 2315) with 3½ hours to spend in Windsor to explore the pretty town centre, enjoy a meal, take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the park or join us for a specially-organised screening of Casablanca at the School Hall in Eton College.
With steam locomotive 70013 Oliver Cromwell at the head of the train, the journey takes us from Victoria, crossing the Thames and heading through the London suburbs to Windsor. On the way, dining passengers will be treated to a glass of champagne and a four course meal. Non-dining passengers will be served complimentary tea and coffee and can order drinks from the on-board bar. Once in Windsor, you will have around 3 and a half hours to spend exploring this beautiful historic town.
