Deal or no Deal? Five top Kent destinations available by steam

Enjoy a steam journey to Kent’s beautiful coastline, with a choice of five fantastic destinations.

On Thursday 27 July, take a trip to one of five of Kent’s favourite destinations; Canterbury, Deal, Sandwich, Whitstable or Faversham, each with attractive qualities and offerings including the oldest Cathedral in England, with all of its original 597AD charm and grandeur in Canterbury.

Passengers can board The Cathedrals Express steam train at London Victoria or Bromley South for a trip through the Kent Countryside to Canterbury, or continue to the south Kent coast to the unspoilt beaches at Deal or medieval Sandwich.

From here, the train continues along the North Kent Coast behind a diesel locomotive, to Whitstable, famous for its oysters and bohemian charm, or Faversham, a medieval market town with plenty to see and do.
