Steam’s Young Dream: new ticket price for the under 30s

The Steam Dreams Rail Co., which run steam hauled train trips throughout the UK and British Isles, are delighted to be able to offer an under 30s special ticket price on the following trips:

Founder of Steam Dreams, Marcus Robertson, said: “The government has just announced plans to extend the discounted railcard offer to more young people and it’s something we have been thinking about trialling for a while and now for Christmas and Valentine’s day we thought it was the perfect time to see if it works. We’re looking forward to welcoming a new generation of people who would like to relive the Golden Age of Steam and the great service, food and comfort from that era”.

Under 30s (the qualifying age is under 30 on the date of booking) can travel in one of three classes at prices previously only for under-16s. Fares start from £50 per person on Valentine’s Day (usually £59) in Premium Standard where passengers are seated at tables of four, with crisp white tablecloths and receive at-seat service of complimentary tea and coffee.

Discounted First Class and Premier Dining class tickets are also available for passengers who would like to treat themselves to champagne or a dining experience on-board, with a 4 Course lunch or Dinner.
