Information About The Trip

There will be a two minute silence at 11am on board the train to commemorate Armistice Day. We’re delighted to be celebrating the belated return to the tracks of the magnificent 6201 Princess Elizabeth with an Armistice Day Special to East Anglia, including an opportunity to visit RAF Duxford.

Lizzie will pull into Whittlesford Parkway, where you can alight to spend the afternoon visiting the historic airfield and museum of aviation history at Duxford, before being transferred to Cambridge by road coach to meet the train.

If you choose to visit Cambridge you will have plenty of time to explore this attractive university town, whilst those who choose Ely can visit the glorious 12th Century Cathedral, with its impressive Octagon tower.

Those who stay on the train to its final destination will arrive in Norwich at approximately 15:00, where a tour around Norwich Cathedral, the most complete Norman Cathedral in England, is highly recommended.

The journey is rostered to be steam hauled throughout by 6201 Princess Elizabeth.

Board the train at London Victoria, West Hampstead, Broxbourne, Harlow Town or Cambridge
