This Summer, The Cathedrals Express steam train is offering Londoners the chance to celebrate summer in style, with an exciting programme of circular tours around some of the most scenic countryside in the south east. The lunchtime tour will depart from London Paddington, with an opportunity to join the train at various points along the route.
On Tuesday 18 July, The Cathedrals Express will depart from London Paddington for a White Horses Tour of Wiltshire and Hampshire. This picturesque journey takes you through the Kennet Valley to Wiltshire, for views of the Pewsey and Westbury White Horses, the latter being a famous landmark that was cut into the chalk about 400 years ago. From here we turn south, passing by the outskirts of Salisbury with a chance to catch a glimpse of Salisbury Cathedral’s iconic Spire, before making our way back to the capital.
Tickets for this White Horses Tour from Paddington, Slough and Reading are available in four different classes; ranging from Premium Standard at £89 per person, up to Pullman Style Dining at £225 per person, which will include a four course meal with wine.
