Hi Martijn, thanks for your comments.
Some smarter folks have been using the model for years. As for data take a look at the story of Parrot Cages, cf. Forward Internet Group. The model cuts off at 5x for the sake of creditability. Note the distinction between teams (1000x) and organisations.

I think it could be as valuable as Cynefin, JTBD, etc in transformations. Shame it’s not used more broadly. A big problem in transformations I have been involved in, people try to skip a stage and/or different stages at play at the same time throughout the company without people/coaches even being aware of it. From Ad Hoc to Synergetic can even feel restrictive to some.
Anyway, Do you have any more data on the effectiveness scale? In my experience teams/orgs that get it right get far more effective than 5x. Especially the switch from feature factory to actual customer value is massive. Also, I have seen TTM improvements from 6 to 3 months to 4 weeks to days. It feels more logarithmic to me as well. But I don’t have anything beyond anecdotal data.

Well, there goes the “10x developer” thing. This is evidence that *projects* and *corporate environments* are 1000x.

.

(I’ve seen bigger differences than that, measured. But there are caveats.)
