1) I think picking out a particular topic or blog post and asking people to read around the subject might be a good way to focus the chats. Nothing overly structured (like Lean Coffee), but just a general theme you think would be interesting to discuss or gather other viewpoints about.
2) Maybe something to discuss during one of the sessions some day!

For me, it was a chance to re-connect with yourself, but also to meet new people who are interested in the topics you write about. Like you said, life in this job can be quite isolated these days, so it’s always good to chat.

Maybe specific topics would be a good idea for future sessions – circulate a few blog links that you’d like to have a discussion about, with the understanding that anyone joining will have read them and come in with their own thoughts/observations/experiences etc?
